The capital of Hungary is Budapest (19.0408 longitude, 47.4984 latitude).

Hungary Coffee Imports and Re-Exports Data


Since 1990, Hungary has imported an estimated 1,054,680,000 kg (kilograms) of green bean coffee, averaging 43,945,000 kg each year. Roasting and re-exporting an estimated 13,510,434 kg each year on the global market .

Looking at the start and end figures for this period, overall, imports of green bean coffee in Hungary have decreased. Whilst re-exports of roasted coffee have increased.

Hungary Green Bean Coffee Import Data

Hungary green bean coffee imports were at the lowest in 1995 at an estimated 31,200,000 kg.

The importing of green bean coffee was at its highest in 2004. With an estimated total of 58,620,000 kg of green bean coffee being imported.

Hungary Re-Exports of Roasted Coffee

In Hungary re-exports of coffee, now roasted, was at its highest in 2012 with an estimated 29,760,000 kg being roasted coffee being exported from the country. In 1996 re-exports were at the lowest point with 1,920,000 kg being re-exported for consumption elsewhere.

The statistical coffee data shows that, since 1990, a total of 310,740,000 kg (310,740 tonnes) of coffee has been roasted and re-exported by Hungary. Averaging 13,510,434 kg per year during times of active exporting. On the whole, re-exporting of coffee has gone up during this period.

Hungary Roasted Coffee Retail Price Data

Hungary roasted coffee retail prices peaked in 2011 at an estimated $13.4USD/kg.

The statistical coffee data shows that, roasted coffee retail prices were the lowest in 2001 at an estimated $5.71USD/kg.

Through this period, Hungary roasted coffee retail prices have averaged $9.47USD/kg. Through this time, coffee retail prices have risen.

ICO Composite Indicator Import Prices

The price per kilogram per kilogram of green bean coffee paid by Hungary is estimated to have been at the highest in 2011 at an estimated $4.64USD/kg. The data also shows that this price was the lowest during 2001 at an estimated $1.01/kg.

To conclude, the statistical coffee data shows that the purchase price per kilogram of green bean coffee in Hungary has increased. Averaging $2.31USD per kilo.
